Shipyard has extended experience on tank coating traditionally coming from repair works being carried out by mother company Gemak Shipyard. Grit blasting and paint shops are in the form of mobile sheds. 3-D blocks after steel construction completed and almost outfitted are taken into those sheds. Painting is being performed under controlled climatic environment. All ballast tanks are being coated at block stage while cargo tanks are being coated at the end of building. Most of the major paint suppliers have their own stocks and technical offices available in Istanbul.
